Rubber screed delights stable owners
As a private stable owner, horses entail a great deal of work that you'd rather avoid. That particularly includes regularly cleaning the stable. It can be very laborious and takes a long time. That was also Jürgen Essberger's fate for many years, but that's now been consigned to the past thanks to Gröne rubber screed. Mucking out and maintaining the stable can now be completed far quicker. This gives him more time to concentrate on what's important: the joy of working with his horses.
"For the past 10 years, we had conventional rubber mats in our stable", says Jürgen Essberger about his property in the southern Black Forest, which is home to four Quarter Horses. "With each mat weighing 45 kilogrammes, thorough cleaning regularly involved hard work." The mats had to be removed individually and cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner to ensure hygiene in Essberger's open stable and avoid the risk of diseases for the horses. The stable owner had therefore been searching for a high-quality solution for a more easily cleanable floor covering for some time – and found what he was after at Gröne. "I obtained and compared various quotes for high-quality special floor coverings", explains the horse lover. "The main reasons for choosing Gröne's special rubber screed were, firstly, the fact that delivery and installation were carried out by a single source and, secondly, the product's price." It only took the experts from Gröne just half a day to install the Liquid Rubber special flooring over around 30 square metres of his open stable, which is more than three times that size in total. "Installation proceeded smoothly and deadlines were met precisely", says a delighted Essberger.

After the first few weeks with the new special flooring, the stable owner from Baden-Württemberg is more than satisfied with the result: "I notice the change straight away when I go into the stable in the morning. The air is far better because cleaning is now easier and can be done more thoroughly – the difference is like night and day!" Besides improving hygiene, the Gröne rubber screed can also improve the health of Essberger's animals in the long term, because it prevents bacteria from building up and provides the horses with a secure footing on the floor covering.
