New recovery stall flooring at Giessen University clinic
Gröne all-round service after more than 20 years – fast and reliable
Alongside the clinic in Munich, Giessen University clinic was one of the first veterinary clinics in Germany to install Gröne recovery stall flooring more than 20 years ago – successfully so! Because, despite continuous heavy use, the flooring continues to faithfully serve horses that have undergone surgery. And the special flooring will continue to do so in one of the two stalls, just as it has since it was installed there in 1998. The elastic floor covering in the second stall was renewed at the beginning of the year because it was slowly exhibiting initial signs of minor wear and because we do not take any unnecessary risks where the health and hygiene of the horses are concerned.

Regular Gröne service guarantees durability and quality
The attentive eyes of Gröne's experts had noticed this wear when they were also installing the established recovery stall flooring in a third recovery stall in the adjoining small animal practice at the end of last year. Such standard checks are all part of the service, and we like to take the opportunity to check durability and quality, especially when we are at the premises in any case.Installation closely coordinated to the clinic's needs
Together with the customer, we quickly come up with a solution – from minor repairs to completely new recovery stall floors if necessary. And if flooring like that at Giessen University clinic is marked by constant stress and strain after more than two decades, the decision is quickly reached: the floor has to be replaced. On a date arranged to suit the requirements of Giessen University clinic, the special flooring for safety, health and hygiene in animal husbandry therefore arrived from Dinklage to replace the worn-out flooring and install new recovery stall floors – reliably and quickly. To do this, the stall was first cleaned thoroughly after removal, and then rubber floor screed was installed as a cushion, sealed all around, and the special mat was installed on top. The newly refurbished recovery box was back in use after only around two days.
Protective walls made of rubber in use for over 20 years
Incidentally, the padded protective walls made of rubber, which were installed at the same time as the recovery stall floors, are still in perfect condition after more than 20 years.
